Here is our selection of standard back cushions for COMFORT and ADVANCE wheelchair seats. The cushions are all progressively constructed by two layers of HR PUR foam in different degrees of firmness. The back cushion with large and extra large side wedges have steel reinforcements inside the side wedges, whereas the back cushion with medium side wedges has no steel reinforcement.

Back cushion with medium side wedges
Back cushion with medium side wedges that stabilizes the back moderately. The medium back cushion is progressively constructed by two layers of foam in different degrees of firmness. At the bottom, a layer of foam plus two side wedges in soft HR PUR foam. At the top, a layer of hyper-soft HR PUR foam.
Back cushion with large side wedges
Back cushion with side wedges that stabilize the pelvis. The large back cushion is progressively constructed by several layers of foam in different degrees of firmness.
Back cushion with XL side wedges
Back cushion with side wedges that stabilize the pelvis and support the upper part of the body well. The XL back cushion is progressively constructed by several layers of foam in different degrees of firmness.
Custom made back cushion
Apart from the standard sizes, the back cushions are also made to measure. In cases of special needs, we produce seat cushions in all types of foams and shapes in collaboration with the user and therapist

Removable cushions
The removable cushions make it possible to change the character of the chair by choosing a back cushion with more or less support or a seat cushion which is optimal for the user in terms of shaping and firmness.
For the user, the removable cushion system means that the seat is constructed according exactly to his or her physical conditions and needs of stability and pressure relieving capacities. In addition, the chair can be cost effectively modified when the user’s needs change over time.
For the local authorities or health insurance organizations, which in many cases carry part of the economic investment in wheelchairs and other appliances for disabled citizens, there are considerable advantages in choosing a seat with removable cushions because of lower costs when adapting the chair to the changing needs of the user, but also when reusing the chair for another user. In such cases, a used COMFORT or ADVANCE chair can be adapted to a new user simply by changing the seat- and back cushions.
